Ashley Comans currently serves as a School Board Director for the Wilkinsburg School District since December 2017.

In addition to serving the Wilkinsburg School Board, Ashley works as a Project Coordinator for the Hill Youth Partnership for Enrichment (HYPE) - a system building initiative through the Allegheny Partners for Out if School Time (APOST). She’s a board member for Circles Greater Pittsburgh, Chatham University’s Eden Hall K-12 advisory board, and volunteers for The United Way’s – Be A Middle School Mentor program.

Ashley was selected for The Incline Magazine’s Who’s Next Politics 2018 as well as the 2018 Young Democrat of the Year by the Allegheny County Young Democrat’s. She’s a member of Young Elected Officials Network and Local Progress a national network of locally elected officials.

Ashley obtained a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism and Communication Studies from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
